Third Space, London's leading luxury health club operator, has opened its latest club inside The Whiteley, a Grade II listed redevelopment on Queensway. Designed and manufactured with IndigoFitness, the club is a study in bespoke commercial gym design. And at the heart of the strength and lifting area, Gungnir bars sit on the Olympic benches as the premium touchpoint members reach for first.

The Whiteley is one of London's most closely watched heritage restorations. Third Space chose it as the setting for a club that had to compete architecturally with the address itself, while delivering on the performance and member experience the group is known for.

The brief was demanding. Strict acoustic and vibration limitations across a sensitive heritage structure. Complex geometry with pillars and a dominant skylight. A central combat zone that had to function as showpiece and performance floor at the same time. New PT concepts built around The Cable Rack. And a HIIT studio configured for HYROX programming inside a room with limited ceiling height.

To meet all of it, Third Space partnered with IndigoFitness, whose British made custom manufacturing and deep integration with architects and project teams have become an embedded part of every Third Space build. The strength and lifting suite at The Whiteley includes stainless steel Shadow XD Racks, XD Olympic Benches, adjustable benches, and a curated selection of Gungnir bars, chosen as the premium touchpoint for the lifting area. Custom attachment storage, plate trees and toast racks integrate the equipment into the wider aesthetic.

For members, the impact is immediate. SlideLock, our patented built-in collar, removes the friction of clips at the exact moment they should be focused on the lift. No wrestling with clips between sets, no lost collars between sessions, no clutter on the platform. It is a small, considered detail that quietly reinforces everything Third Space stands for at The Whiteley: premium, uncluttered, purposeful.

The Whiteley introduces several new concepts for Third Space, from PT Pods to a central combat zone to HYROX integration inside a heritage envelope. We are proud that Gungnir bars are part of it, and proud to continue our work with IndigoFitness and Third Space as they raise the standard for what a London flagship health club can be.
