The slide lock works well and sounds great.
The narrow grip is comfortable for bicep curls.
I love the beautiful stainless steel shaft and the beautiful knurling.
The build quality is impeccable. The knurl feels great, very small and fine mountains with a medium aggressiveness. The sleeves have excellent fit and finish and the plates slide on easily without this unique design causing excessive drag or anything. My only complaint is on my Rogue rack (49" rack width) if I drift even slightly left or right the end of the sleeve knocks against my spotter arm. My only suggestion to gungnir is to make the rackable curler just a little bit longer to give those of us with wide racks a little more play. I understand you have to balance length with how much it wants to teeter (this is why many people don't like rackable curler bars) but another inch of length probably wouldn't be too big of an issue.
The rack friendly bar eliminates the need to stoop down for weight changes and having its built in collars makes this one sweet gym tool!
